Loadout

Weapons and armour loadouts are crucial for any game of Helldivers. Weapons should be catered to the specific enemies being fought, althought, there are weapons which are powerful enough on all fronts which can give safety behind all conditions. Weapons such as the Purifier, Coyote, and Explosive Crossbow, are all weapons that are currently strong on all fronts while secondaries such as the Ultimatum, Grenade Pistol are valued for their utility on all fronts. Interms of support weapons, anti tank options such as the Recoiless Rifle, and Quasar cannon are heavily praised and useful on all fronts. If a backpack slot is still available, the supply pack, and shield generator are praised for the ability to extend a Helldiver’s life span. Armour is often based on preference and are catered to the player’s desired playstyle. The weapons here are weapons that suit all factions however, there are dozens of weapons which can be used to great extent when utilized well in a well crafted loadout.

Strategy and Coordination

Effective strategy and coordination are what separate a successful mission from a chaotic defeat in Helldivers 2. Before dropping in, teams should agree on a general approach, such as who is bringing anti-tank support, who is handling crowds, and which objectives to prioritise first. Stratagems should be spread across the team to avoid overlap, ensuring a well-rounded loadout that can handle any situation the mission throws at you. During missions, communication is key, whether that is calling out enemy positions, warning teammates before throwing a stratagem, or regrouping before pushing a difficult objective. Splitting up to cover multiple objectives can be efficient, but the team should always be ready to collapse on a single point when the pressure becomes too great. Ultimately, a coordinated team with average gear will almost always outperform a disorganised squad with the best weapons in the game.

Helldiver Etiquette

Respect and etiquette go a long way in making Helldivers 2 an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Friendly fire is a core mechanic of the game, so always be mindful of where teammates are before calling in a stratagem or firing explosive weapons into a crowd. If you do accidentally down a teammate, a quick reinforce goes a long way in keeping the goodwill alive. When joining a random squad's game, follow their lead rather than rushing objectives or extracting early without warning. Avoid taking resources such as ammo boxes or samples that a teammate may be moving toward, and never leave a fellow Helldiver behind when a reinforce is available. Small acts of consideration, like pinging points of interest or sharing supply stratagems, make the difference between a frustrating run and a memorable one. Managed Democracy works best when everyone is working together, and a respectful squad is almost always a successful one.
